Swan: Chinese-Americans Attending H3361 Public Hearing in MA Got a Bad Deal.
Editor:
Chinese-American attendees asked the committee to record the whole public hearing for H3361 to make sure the hearing was fair, but didn't get a clear response.
The staff at the hearing lied that the recording stopped at 6:00pm, not lasted to 9:20pm when the hearing officially ended.
On January 31, Chinese-Americans complained on social media that the hearing was not fair, since the recording didn't cover the whole thing.
On February 2, the committee showed the whole recording under the pressure from the Chinese community, which meant that keeping fighting worked!

Asian Americans protesting the "yellow star" ethnic-tracking Asian Registry bill MA H3361 outside the National Conference of State Legislatures on August 5, 2017, at the Boston Convention Center.
On a weekday, January 30, 2018, more than 1000 traumatized Americans of Asian descent, children, seniors, parents,, protesting the "yellow star" Asian Registry bill MA H3361 showed up at the State House public hearing. Many who couldn't get in the Gardner Auditorium waited in hallways or picketed outside the State House in snow and ice.
On the supporting side, only a few dozen showed up, mostly arranged speakers from lobbying organizations, asking for things that already exist and have been existing for many years.
The hearing lasted from 1pm to 9:20pm, more than 8 hours. Tons of condemning testimonies were given by survivors or descendants of the Holocaust, the Khmer Rouge, the Japanese Internment Camps, the Cultural Revolution, the racial segregation and genocide.
Most of them arrived at the State House at 9am and entered the Gardner Auditorium the earliest, but were made to speak after the lobbyists. The lobbyists' talks lasted almost all of the first three hours.
The next day, bill opposers heard to their shock that **the State House's video system only recorded the first three hours of testimonies, mostly of the lobbyists! **So, based on the video archive at the State House, it would look like the voices asking for the Asian Registry bill were almost unanimous, about 95% of the screen time, while the voices condemning it seemed rare, about 5% of the screen time! More than 1000 traumatized survivors and descendants showed up for nothing! They were almost nonexistent in the State House's video record of the H3361 public hearing!
**Looks like the politicians and lobbyists rigged the hearing and are laying the ground to pass this horrendous bill after excluding the presence of victims of genocides and segregation on record. **This bill is made to kill their spirits all over again. Nothing can stop it. First the Asians, because they are the easiest to prey on. Then those next in vulnerability. An African American pastor waited more than 5 hours to get a chance to give his testimony, which is now made invisible by the system.
Love's labour's lost. Devil's labour prevails, the same way it has prevailed many times before in history.
